The Senior Mobile & Frontend Developer will be integral to our product development, offering significant contributions to the evolution of our frontend and mobile application suite. As we aim to continue providing the most modern workforce management software, we need a passionate and dedicated individual to help us grow and maintain our existing applications while simultaneously developing new features to support our expanding business needs.
We’re hiring for talent over location; this position can be located remotely, anywhere in the province of Quebec.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and established coding standards
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and propose effective technical solutions
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase
- Refactor legacy code and improve it with modern development standards
- Lead the entire app lifecycle from concept to delivery and post-launch support
- Participate in project planning and contribute to team stand-ups and meetings
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Frontend / Mobile Software Engineer
- Experience and comfort with React, React Native, React-Query, styled-components, Apollo Client, Typescript, GraphQL
- Comfortable with iOS and Android SDKs
- Experience working with Bitrise or equivalent mobile DevOps platforms
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Proficient with Git version control and branching strategies
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX standards and a portfolio showcasing your work
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders across the organization
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new technologies
